Do the Scent Blazer teasers attract a lot of other species with teeth that may become a pest through the day especially in a tournament?

I don't believe that to be a problem with troublesome fish. Best thing to do is to run the teaser and if you have the problem then remove it. but I would run the teaser every chance I had. That teaser, bottom line, catches more fish and better hook ups, when used. The teaser puts the scent trail in the water that makes the fish come in from further distances and the fish have a tendency of committing to the lures. That is what I have experienced on the water with the teasers. USE THEM EVERY CHANCE YOU CAN.
