| Scent Blazer Game Fishing Teaser Overview |
| |
How they work
Scent Blazer patented game fishing teasers have water intakes which connect into a large chamber inside the teasers. The teasers screw apart and can easily be loaded with bait, burley or chum.
As the teaser is trolled, the water from the intakes puts pressure on the bait inside which is pushed against the holes on the side of the teaser. The bait and its scent is continually being pushed out through those holes and into the water. In addition to this, little bits of bait break off periodically leaving a trail of bait or chum leading back to the boat.
Scent Blazer bowling pin teasers leave a burley/chum trail which fish can follow to your boat. Add to that the teaser's highly reflective finish along with its aggressive swimming action and you have the ultimate game fishing teaser.
In addition to this you can also add rattles to make them noisy or add balloons to alter the teaser's swimming action. The options are endless.

Screws apart to load with bait, chum, rattles and floats
Scent Blazer patented game fishing teasers screw apart. This allows game and sports fishermen to load the teasers with chum, burley, rattles and floats.
Add bait and burley for the teaser to release a chum trail and scent as it is trolled. Add rattles to make it really noisy and add floats or balloons inside the teaser to alter the swimming action of the bowling pin teaser.

Inserting Bait
1. Unscrew the teaser.
| |
2. Prepare the bait/chum/burley to place inside the teaser.
| |
| Recommended baits/burley/chum for 8" teasers |
Load with smaller baits like Sardines, Pilchards, Ballyhoo, Squid, Scad, Slimy Mackerel, Mackerel. Burley/chum pellets can also be added along with the bait. Don’t cut the bait too finely as it will come out of the side holes too quickly. Insert big chunks of bait or whole fish for the best results. The water pressure will tear off small pieces of bait as you troll the game fishing teaser.
| |
| |
| Recommended baits/burley/chum for 12" Teasers |
Load with big baits and keep the bait in one piece if possible. Half of a Skipjack Tuna, any small Tuna, Mackerel or Bonito is ideal. Fish heads, fish guts, large chunks of fish or whole Squid are also great inside the 12” bowling pin teasers. When trolling the bowling pin teaser the water presssure will slowly rip and tear off small pieces of bait leaving a burley/chum trail behind your boat.
| |
3. Place the bait/chum/burley inside the game fishing teaser and screw pieces together. The bowling pin teaser is ready to use.
| |
| |
Removing the bait
Simply unscrew the teaser and tip out the remaining bait from the bowling pin teaser. Rinse the teaser with fresh or salt water.
| |
| |
IMPORTANT: Keep an eye on your teasers when using them. Often fish will attack the teasers before your plastic lures, especially if you are not using Scent Blazer trolling lures. The reason is because the teasers with the bait inside them are more appealing than the other plastic and resin lures you are running. If that happens get them out of the water as quickly as possible so they go for one of your lures.
DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE ALL THE REMAINING BAIT FROM INSIDE THE TEASER AT THE END OF YOUR FISHING DAY before putting your teaser away.

Inserting rattles and floats
| Inserting rattles
Rattles can be added alongside your bait/chum/burley inside the teaser, not only will the teaser leave a chum trail but also it will be incredibly noisy as well. The rattle will hit against the inside walls of the game fishing teaser making it even more noisy than normal.
Float type rattles as shown below are ideal to use inside Scent Blazer teasers and are availabe at most local fishing tackle shops. Inserting them inside the teaser is incredibily easy. Just unscrew the teaser and place float/rattle inside or you can rig them onto the trace if desired.

Unscrew the game fishing teaser and insert a rattle to make the teaser noisier.

| |
| Inserting floats or weights
The main purpose of inserting floats or weights inside the teaser is to alter the swimming action. The normal swimming action of the teaser is aggressive and the teaser tends to dig in just below the surface to leave a big bubble trail.
However if you want to make the teaser swim across the suface of the water simply unscrew the teaser and insert something with air inside it, a balloon (as shown below), a pill bottle, a block of foam or a regular fishing float or cork. This will change the buoyancy of the teaser and make the swimming action more of a skitterish action along the surface of the water.
Alternatively if you want to make the teaser dig in under the water then weights or sinkers can be added inside. Fishing sinkers can be used for the weights.
With Scent Blazer game fishing teasers the sports fisherman is in control of the teaser's action and can alter the action on the spot. It is as simple as unscrewing the teaser and adding either a floation object or weight inside.

Balloons are easy to use as floats inside Scent Blazer teasers. With balloons an angler can easily control how much floatation it gives the teaser by the amount of air they blow into the balloon.
