When it comes to tuna I like to employ a bit more finesse running lighter leaders, normally 150 -200 pound.
When it comes to hooks I have gone away running twin hook rigs to single hooks set well back in the skirts.
The key is to ensure the hook is sitting upright for the best hook up. This still isn’t the perfect rig and is basically an adaptation from my blue marlin set up.
To be honest setting up the right hook rig is something you can always improve so keep never stop experimenting.
